Safety Takes
Everyone

Safety is the foundation of every project we perform. It begins with a personal commitment from each employee to recognize hazards, speak up, make thoughtful decisions, and look out for the people working around them.

"Safety Takes Everyone."

That commitment is reinforced by Ben Hur’s company-wide support for the field through planning, communication, training, resources, and continuous improvement. From management and safety leadership to supervision and craft employees, everyone has a role in helping each person go home safely each day.

Together, individual ownership and company support create a safety culture built on preparation, awareness, accountability, and care for one another.

Safety is put into practice through the way work is planned, communicated, performed, monitored, and improved. These practices help our teams prepare the work, recognize changing conditions, address concerns, and strengthen how the work is performed.

Safety begins before work starts. Our teams review the work, site conditions, sequencing, equipment, and potential risks so the job is planned, coordinated, and performed with the right controls in place.

Open communication connects the plan to the work in the field. Management, safety personnel, supervision, and field crews work together to review expectations, discuss hazards, adjust to changing conditions, and carry out the plan throughout the project.

Unsafe conditions are addressed as they arise, and what we learn is used to strengthen future planning, communication, training, and work practices.
