NKU Health Innovation Center
Highland Heights, KY
This project was a part of NKU’s renovation of one of the two oldest buildings on the campus. It included a 5 story structural steel frame fabricated by Geiger & Peters. This project had three unique aspects: one being the first project completed with the additional requirement for the erector to provide it’s own indpenedent testing services, the second being the requirement for a State of Kentucky Engineered Erection Plan with a Peer Review, and the third was the way (4) 2 3/4″ diameter rods were used to support the 2nd and 3rd floor balcany’s from a 60′ W44x262 beam at the roof level.
