BJC Solar Canopy

Ben Hur was contracted to fabricate and erect the structural steel support for a solar canopy on top of an existing precast parking structure on the BJC Campus in St. Louis, MO. The project consisted of 400 tons of galvanized structural steel, and installation of light gauge Super Purlins, which supported 4547 solar panels provided by our customer for the project, Day and Night Solar. Lightweight specialized hoisting equipment was required due to limited site conditions and load capacities of the garage. This success on this project has led to more opportunities with Day and Night Solar.
