Ben Hur Construction has a pending membership to the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable building design and construction.

Reducing construction and demolition materials, and constructing sustainable projects provide numerous benefits:

• Less waste leads to fewer disposal facilities, potentially reducing associated environmental issues including methane gas emissions which contribute to global climate change.
• Reducing, reusing and recycling construction and demolition materials offsets the need to extract and consume virgin resources.
• Deconstruction and selective demolition methods divert large amounts of materials from disposal and provide business opportunities.

From the small things (recycling office paper, bottles, cans and other recyclables) to the large (reducing paperwork through electronic plans transmissions, electronic archival for files, paperless meetings, LEED certification, recycling/salvage of construction site waste) Ben Hur Construction’s actions illustrate more responsible choices.
